Trainz Simulator 12: Timoth Thomas Reskin Project Released

After a long time in development, I am thrilled to finally share the Timoth Thomas reskin project for Trainz Simulator 12. This massive project has been made possible thanks to the help of many individuals, whose credits are listed below.

This is a significant update that will provide priority access to servers under extreme load conditions for Trainz Plus Standard and Trainz Plus Gold members. To ensure a smooth experience during peak usage periods, we reserve the right to adjust the number of users allowed in each route and the total number of users at any one time.

With more concurrent users comes higher server loads, which may result in a drop in performance. However, we will closely monitor player numbers in each route and create new ones as demand requires. Our goal is for groups to form and collaborate on creating their own world, rather than individual projects (which can be done offline).

This release marks the beginning of our long-term plan to create Trainz Live, a persistent world where railroads run 24/7 just like in real life. To achieve this, we are introducing the TRS22PE MPS Access Plan, which provides a selection of routes for players to join.

In addition to the main features, we have also included a list of DLC content available for download and installation. This includes additional builtin and bonus routes that can be downloaded for free in-game. To keep the initial download small, the base install includes Kickstarter County 2 plus sessions and tutorials.

For Steam users, you won't need a MyTrainz account to access these features, but a one-time restart will be required to update the branding to TRS22PE and unlock Platinum features. If you have the correct TRS22 build installed and have purchased TRS22PE, the game should automatically update and unlock features once you login with your MyTrainz account.
